In order to preserve the site, a maximum number of accesses per day is permitted.
When you visit the open-air museum of the Tonnara di Scopello, you will discover the places where fishermen have been working, using tools and methods which have been handed down over the centuries. You will be able to see the original boats, all the tools, the different ropes and the rooms where the Rais and his crew got together every year.
For the protection of the historical heritage we kindly ask you to follow the instructions below:
– It is not allowed to bring drinks and food. Inside the Tonnara you will find a refreshment point.
– Entrance is only permitted on foot, there are parking areas near the Tonnara (for exceptional cases please contact the ticket office). – Animals are not allowed. – Deckchairs, sup, canoes, umbrellas and inflatables are not allowed.
